International Film Festival T-film 2020 just begun!

The T-film 2020 competition film festival, featuring short documentaries from around the world, is in full swing. This year, he changed his concept and aimed at spectators at schools and organizations in the Moravian-Silesian Region. "The T-film started this year earlier this month and will last until September 24. We are pleased with the great interest of primary and secondary schools in the screening of selected films, such as Ivo Bystřičan's film Kovy Addresses History, in which the popular youtuber sets out on a documentary road movie by Czech education or a Spanish film entitled 40 Days on Coronavirus Pandemic , ”Says Marcela Mrozková Heříková, director of the T-film 2020 festival.

This year, the president of the festival is again the well-known expert on human souls, psychiatrist Jan Cimický, with whom discussions are prepared at the end of the festival. The well-known youtuber and influencer Kovy (Karel Kovář) will also go to schools. "I decided to support the T-film 2020 festival because I believe that especially in today's turbulent times full of challenges that often transcend individuals, it is important to look at the world from different perspectives and have an overview of what is happening around us. Understand the international context. We are all together in a number of current issues, which is why I believe that documents from different parts of the world are a great way to deepen, expand and perhaps look at it from a whole new angle, ”said influencer Kovy. This year, 96 filmmakers from all over the world (eg Germany, USA, Estonia, France, Argentina, Serbia) entered their films for the competition festival, and the expert committee then selected twelve of them to compete for the Grand Prix. The topics of short documentaries are very colorful: from the film, which deals with the topic of the coronavirus pandemic, to environmental documents. The festival takes place in schools from 1 to 23 September, the closing ceremony will take place on 24 September at the Mercure Center Hotel in Ostrava. Last year, filmmakers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Germany, Poland, Italy, Belgium, Serbia, Hungary, Sweden and the United Kingdom entered a total of 41 competition titles for the T-film 2019 International Film Festival.
